As a nutritionist-dietitian, my primary goal is to help you acquire better lifestyle habits while maintaining the pleasure of eating. This process of well-being begins with obtaining a structured plan that will allow you to reach your health goals.

My second goal is to be able to offer a totally personalized service that follows the needs and availability of my clients. It is also possible to choose from a variety of services offered; nutritional consultation, grocery store visit, weight management program, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and much more. I also offer nutrition services not only for individuals, but also for families and businesses.

Professional graduate in nutrition and biological science from McGill University and University of Montreal. I am also a member of the professional order of ‘Dietitians of Quebec’ (ODNQ). During my consultations, I prioritize respecting one’s dietary needs, based on sound scientific guidelines, for the development of long-term healthy habits, while preserving the pleasure of eating well.

A nutritionist is a health professional who specializes in assessing and providing guidance on diet and nutrition to promote overall health and well-being.

In Quebec a dietitian should be licensed under the ODNQ (Ordre des diététistes-nutritionnistes du Québec).

In Canada, the title of dietitian is protected like other medical professionals such as registered nurses and medical doctors. It is used to designate someone who received rigorous training from an accredited university, someone who adheres to a provincial regulatory body and has a valid practice license number. On the other hand, a nutritionist is a title that is not provincially regulated. As defined by Dietitians of Canada, it is ‘often used by those who have completed privately owned training programs that vary in length and rigor’ except for Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia where this title is protected by those provincial dietitian orders. 

A nutritionist can create personalized meal plans, provide education on healthy eating habits, and offer ongoing support to help you reach your weight loss goals.

While weight management is a common reason people seek out nutritionists, they also provide guidance on overall health, disease prevention, and improving energy levels through proper nutrition.

Some insurance plans may cover nutrition services, but it’s best to check with your provider to see what specific services are included in your coverage.

The frequency of consultations with a nutritionist depends on your individual needs and goals, but typically initial sessions are followed by regular follow-ups for ongoing support.

Nutritionists promote balance and moderation in eating habits, so you can still enjoy your favorite foods in moderation while following their recommendations for overall health.
